In A Transient Business Component After Creating Multiple Fields The Application Assigns Datatypes Automatically To The Already Created Fields When New Fields Are Added
(Doc ID 2935367.1)
Last updated on OCTOBER 11, 2023
Applies to:
Siebel CRM - Version 21.4 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
The Siebel Tools Application assigns data types automatically to CLOB for existing fields when new fields are created. This happens when in the Transient Business Component the developer creates more then 60 (field records or fields).
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login to Siebel Tools and create a new development workspace.
2. Create a new Transient Business Component.
3. Add around 60 fields, all of length 250.
3. Eventually it goes to the point where some of the already created fields were mapped to the CLOB column instead of FLD_VAL_V2000_1.
Changes
Create a new Transient Business Component and add around new 60 fields.
