Unable To Connect To Cloud Mailboxes Using OAuth 2.0 , getting error: JMail client in invalid state! javax.mail.MessagingException: Read timed out (Doc ID 2939105.1)

Symptoms

 

Siebel is updated to 22.8 to use Email Response to connect to Office 365 cloud email boxes and OAuth 2.0 is configured. Post this, inbound emails are getting failed with error.

While using Oauth 2.0 authentication , inbound emails are not getting processed , throwing Read time out error in IMAP/SMTP log:

 

 

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Configure Inbound email using Oauth authentication
  2. Send Inbound email 
  3. Monitor processing of the email

Changes

 authentication was switched from Basic to Modern Oauth 2.0
