Last updated on MAY 26, 2023

Applies to:

Siebel Public Sector Service - Version 23.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Querying on case-insensitive Multi Value Field is not returning any values as per the search criteria and issue is specific to IBM DB2

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1)Login to Application

2)Go to Accounts Screen--Account List Applet

3)Create new record with Name with small letters. example: test

4)Save the record and observe the Account Name changed to Upper Case. i.e TEST

5)Associate Contact to the TEST Account

6)Go to Contacts Screen--Contact List Applet

7)Query for 'test' value in 'Account' Field. i.e Account is multi value field in Contact business component

8)Observe the Case Insensitive query is not returning any contacts

Note: The same behavior is working fine with Oracle Data base and not working with IBM DB2 data base even after applying 'Case Insensitive' wizard from column level
