Incoming Emails Fail and Cause a Workflow Crash Event to Be Renamed From ***.xevt to CIR77_***. Error File Extension (Doc ID 2947565.1)

Last updated on JUNE 29, 2023

Applies to:

Siebel CRM - Version 8.0.0.12[20444] and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After restoring a backup copy of the Production environment over the Integration (lower/test) environment, when sending an email to the inbound accounts, configured in Siebel, the file is moved to ..\bin\queued path with CIR77_***.error event extension. The email is not received.

The following example errors can be observed in POP3SMTP***.log or IMAPSMTP***.log files:

ESP:

POP3SMTP[***]:ERROR:Error al analizar el mensaje ...\siebsrvr\bin\incoming\OriginalMessageText_***.txt, el mensaje se ha movido a ...\siebsrvr\bin\failed

POP3SMTP[***]:DBG:POP3 R: +OK Microsoft Exchange Server 2013 POP3 server signing off.

ENU:

POP3SMTP[***]:ERROR:Error parsing message ...\siebsrvr\bin\incoming\OriginalMessageText_***.txt, message moved to ...\siebsrvr\bin\failed

POP3SMTP[***]:DBG:POP3 R: +OK Microsoft Exchange Server 2013 POP3 server signing off.

A brief description of the process itself can be found in the Bookshelf: https://docs.oracle.com/cd/B40099_02/books/eMail/eMail_SetUpBasics26.html#wp1026669
