EIM Export Fails With "ORA-12899: value too large for column" on Non-Unicode Multi Byte Character Set DB. (Doc ID 2952478.1)

Siebel CRM - Version 17.0 [IP2017] and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Under the following conditions, EIM export fails with "ORA-12899: value too large for column" error.

1) Database character set is non-unicode that is supported for Siebel server database.
2) Multi byte character is supported on this database. One example is JA16SJISTILDE for Japanese environment.
3) Long Japanese characters are entered to S_CONTACT.LAST_NAME.
4) Run EIM Export to export S_CONTACT table.
