Last updated on MAY 20, 2024

Applies to:

Siebel Financial Services CRM - Version 23.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

From the existing functionality, users are able to attach the document as an attachment based on the restricted file types. i.e .jpg, .doc,.xml,.txt..

Is there any feasibility to check the below criteria while a user is trying to upload the attachment.

1)Login to Application

2)Go to Attachment under Activities/Service Request

3)Click on 'New File' button in Attachment List Applet to upload the document as an attachment

4)Select jpg file to attach which is having extension as .txt

(Example1: The original content of the file is jpg but the extension of the file is with .txt

i.e the original file content is mismatching with the file type extension)

5)When user try to attach such kind of attachments, then siebel should do the validation that extension of the file and content of the file should match. If both are different, then siebel should not allow to upload such kind of documents as an attachment
