Search Combo Box Dropdown Allowing User To Enter Field Name Manually(Unbounded) (Doc ID 2977494.1)

Symptoms


Query Combo Box allowing to Enter Field name Manually even though Field Name is not present in Dropdown.

Due to this it is throwing an error when user click on Go after typing the Field Name which is not there in Dropdown.

Expecting that it should not allow to enter the Field name which is not there in Dropdown. (It should work as bounded Picklist)
 

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login to Siebel Application
2. Navigate to any List Applet(Example :- Accounts List)
3. Click on QuerycomboBox Field and enter any text. It is allowing to type Field Name which is not there in dropdown.

4. Click on Go button and it will throw below error

Note:- In Ip 13 it was not allowing to type any text in the Query Combo Box Field




Changes

 Upgrade from IP 13 to IP 17.
