Symptoms

If Auto-explode is set to Yes for a complex product, then when a quantity greater than 1 ( e.g. n products )  is added to an order, the expected behavior is that application will add  n line items with quantity 1 instead of one line item with quantity n.

This is happening when accessing configurator via the "Customize" button in line items, but it is not happening accessing the configurator through the "Configure" button in the catalog screen.

The issue was reproduced in standard 23.9 application with the following steps:

1. Navigate to Administration Product -> Product definition and create a customizable product "P1", then release it.
2. Go to Administration Product -> Product and select More info subview. Set the Auto-explode flag to True
3. Navigate to Administration Product -> Product definition and create a customizable product "ROOT"
4. Drill down on the ROOT workspace and add P1 as child of ROOT. Release the ROOT product.
5. Create a price list and add prices for ROOT and P1. Clear cache.
6. Navigate to Administration Catalog. Drill down on the 'New Catalog' and add ROOT and P1 products to catalog categorie. Clear cache from catalog applet menu.
7. Navigate to Sales order, create a new order. Associate the price list created in step 5.
8. Drill down on the order to catalog view, select the ROOT product and click Configure.
9. In configurator, select P1 product and set quantity = 4, then Add item. Click on Done.
10. Navigate to Line items and check that there is a single line with P1 product and quantity 4.
11. Select Catalog subview again, select ROOT product and click on Add item.
12. Navigate to Line items  and invoke Customize for the second line itme just added in step 11
13. In configurator, select P1 product and set quantity = 4, then Add item. Click on Done.
14. Navigate to Line items and check that there are 4 line items with P1 product with quantity 1  under the second ROOT line item.
