Last updated on NOVEMBER 21, 2023

Applies to:

Siebel CRM - Version 20.8 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

REST Outbound Webservice using mutual authentication with certificates is not working for all the REST configured servers in the Siebel environment.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Add the external certificate to keystore.jks. Siebel connects to multiple external systems, therefore multiple client certs are loaded into the Keystore, one for each external system.
  2. Execute the Outbound Rest Call to the external system.
  3. HTTP 403 error is received.

In the restoutbound.log file the following error is observed:

HTTP/1.1 403 Forbidden

Changes

New certificate required for REST Outbound authentication was loaded to keystore.jks.
