XMLPReportServer Component Shows "Not Online" Status When Implementing Siebel Security Model With BI Publisher/Oracle Analytics Publisher (Doc ID 2991857.1)

Last updated on JUNE 18, 2024

Applies to:

Siebel CRM - Version 8.1.1.11 [IP2013] and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When attempting to startup the XMLP Report Server post implementing Siebel security model with BI Publisher (BIP) or Oracle Analytics Publisher (OAP), the component fails to come up and shows "Not Available" status.

When connecting to the server manager using srvrmgr /g gatewayhost:port /e enterprisename /s siebelservername /u SADMIN /p Password and executing list comp command, status can be seen as below:

srvrmgr>list comp XMLPReportServer

XMLP Report Server  BusSvcMgr  XMLPReport  Batch       Not Online

The expected result is to see "Online" or "Running" status for the XMLPReportServer component when the Siebel server comes up post implementing integration with BIP/OAP.

The issue can be replicated with below steps:

1. Follow the steps to integrate Siebel with BI Publisher or OAP using KM Doc ID: 2332902.1
2. Make sure to setup XMLPReportServer component parameters Username,Password and JVM Subsystem with correct values depending on the type of authentication (DB/LDAP/ADSI)
3. Check to see if XMLPReportServer component status shows "Online" by connecting to server manager and executing the "list comp XMLPReportServer" command
