ComboSearchBox Dropdown Is Not Enabled In Siebel Cloned Pick Applet (Doc ID 3037231.1)

Symptoms


After cloning a standard Pick Applet in Siebel Tools, the ComboSearchBox dropdown on the new pick applet does not display the down arrow that allows the selection of other fields to search on.

To replicate the issue, follow the next steps:

  1. Log into Web Tools/Siebel Tools.
  2. Create and/or open a working Workspace.
  3. In the Object Explorer, query for the "Service Request List Applet" applet.
  4. Go to the Applet > Applet Web Template and edit the "Edit List" one.
  5. Notice the Pick applet for the "Contact Last Name" field: "SR Contact Pick Applet".
  6. In the Object Explorer, query for the "SR Contact Pick Applet" applet.
  7. Make a copy of this applet (clone it) and assign a new name (eg: My Contact Pick Applet).
  8. Return to the "Service Request List Applet" applet and select the "Edit List" Applet Web Template.
  9. Select the "Contact Last Name" field and assign the cloned applet as the Pick applet for this control.
  10. Test the change. Notice the Find ComboSearchbox does not show the control (arrow) to allow selecting other available fields.
