Symptoms

When running Siebel "srvrupgwiz" and "ddlimp" with "Unicode" set to "Y" there were major performance issues reported having the job running for a significant period of time.

The expected behavior was to have the "ddlimp" process completed in much more fast manner.

During the process there were no error messages reported.

Changes

The "Unicode" parameter was set to "Y".
