Symptoms
The customer is using Siebel version 7.8.2.3 and complains that an error has occurred when accessing the Assets view:
"There were more rows than could be returned". (SBL-DAT-00500)
Customer found a posting which apparently fixes the problem by setting the applet user property "Disable Buscomp Hierarchy" to TRUE.
However, in that posting was mentioned that if the property in cause was set to FALSE to fix a defect wherein attributes are not copied over when you create an Asset.
The customer is using ABO, and this will be a huge impact if the attributes are not copied over an Asset.
Moreover, if the customer set it to TRUE the ability to see hierarchies in the Assets view is lost.
Customer wants to know that if they set the user prop 'Disable Buscomp Hierarchy' to TRUE, attributes are still copied when creating an Asset.
