When and How to Remove Rows of Workflow Policies in Table S_ESCL_LOG (Doc ID 490646.1)

Last updated on JULY 06, 2023

Applies to:

Siebel Workflow - Version 7.5.3.2 [16168] to 8.1.1 [21112] [Release V7 to V8]
Siebel CRM - Version 15.6 [IP2015] to 15.6 [IP2015] [Release V15]
IBM AIX on POWER Systems (64-bit)

Symptoms

When a trigger being fired on a workflow condition is duration bound, a new row is inserted into S_ESCL_REQ.  Then, the Workflow Monitor Agent inserts a new record into the S_ESCL_STATE and removes the row from S_ESCL_REQ.

For each action, a row is inserted in the table S_ESCL_LOG; thus, this table grows with the number of actions.

Questions:

1. When and how are the rows removed from the Workflow Policies Table S_ESCL_LOG ?
2. Do we need to schedule a task, and if so, which one?
