Symptoms

When the users click a button, it has to open an excel spreadsheet, read the content of the rows and write into Siebel
The requirement was performed using the local "COMcreateObject" but this is not applicable for UNIX environments.

What is the alternative of "COMCreateObject" to accomplish the task?
clib.fread() does not work on spreadsheets ?

 Added custom script to open Excel in Siebel.
