Original email is not stored in a format that can be opened by MS Office Outlook (Doc ID 602612.1)

Goal

When replying to inbound emails in Site Map>Communications screen created by Siebel eMail Response feature an attachment is created for each inbound email called "Original_Message.txt".

The "Original_Message.txt" is the raw MIME encoded internet mail messages as received "off the wire" via the POP3 protocol.

Customer would like to use Microsoft Office Outlook to automatically open the "Original_Message.txt". This would required Siebel to store the original message in MS Office Outlook format (.msg).
