How to Implement Siebel CTI Auto Logout Using Siebel Configuration (Doc ID 954087.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 28, 2022

Applies to:

Siebel CTI - Version 8.1.1.7 SIA [21238] and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Customer is looking for an Enhancement on how Siebel application handle the Auto Logout feature, that is when the Siebel CTI user logoff from Siebel Application using File>Logout to also logout the user from the physical phone.

Current this  functionality can be achieve only using scripting as described in Document How Can AutoLogout Be Implemented with Server Script?' (Doc ID 477576.1)

When implementing the Auto Logout using the CTI Driver capabilities usually the user is also AutoLogout when an orphan Orphan Object manager session trigger the ChannelCleanupTimer or it times out in the background.  Using the configuration on Doci ID 477576.1 instead of the CTI Driver Auto Logout avoid the logout from phone for orphan session. That is prevents agents' current CTI sessions from being automatically logged out, when previous frozen browser sessions are detected, cleaned up, and timed out.

Ideally this functionality should be available without using scripting as indicated on Doc ID 477576.1, and use regular Siebel parameter configurations.
