eConfigurator: Constraint Engine Crashes and Error SBL-SSM-00004 due to Small Callstack Size in Unix (Doc ID 989172.1)

Siebel eConfigurator - Version 7.8.2.10 [19241] and later
Siebel CRM - Version 8.1.1.5 [21229] to 8.1.1.5 [21229] [Release V8]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The constraint engine (ilog) of the eConfigurator can crash for more than 500 child products and a single constraint

1) Create a product with more than 500 child products.
2) Validate it.
3) Add a single constraint to a child product.
4) Validate it. Now you get a session timeout.

Also a stack trace ( eComm_core) is created.

This cannot be reproduced on a Windows environment only Unix/Linux.

The following errors may be seen in the Object Manager log file:

-SBL-SCB-00011: Failed to connect to pipe ((null)) on process (null).
-SBL-SSM-00004: SISNAPI Hello failed. The server component could be down.
-SBL-SSM-00006: Error while sending message to server.
-SBL-SVC-00203: Not connected to the server.
