Symptoms
On a two node Solaris Cluster (this can apply to configuration with more nodes as well), the device IDs (DID) for some devices are inconsistent.
An intermittent notice may appear in the messages file:
The following two procedures were not helpfull to correct the inconsistency:
- Used commands scdidadm -R or scdidadm -r to re-create the DIDs for these devices, the problem stays the same.
- Deleted corresponding entries under: /dev/dsk/,dev/rdsk/,/dev/did/dsk/,/dev/did/rdsk/, then performed a reboot -r, then scdidadm -R to re-create dids, the problem stays the same.
