How-To Place the svc.startd Daemon in Debug Mode (Doc ID 1002635.1)

Goal

This document details the steps to place the svc.startd daemon in debug mode.

This process will send the output to /var/svc/log/svc.startd.log only as oppose to using "boot -m debug" which sends the output to the console (very time consuming) and /var/svc/log/svc.startd.log.
