Goal

This document will explain how to configure a network printer using generic interfaces and also the Expanded Printer Support feature introduced with Solaris[TM] 9 9/04. This feature includes a database of Postscript Printer Definitions or PPD's (provided by each printer manufacturer) that will allow printers that had been troublesome in the past.
