BSM's 'praudit' Fails to Read Log Files Larger Than 2GB

Symptoms
Attempts to run SunSHIELD[TM] BSM's "praudit" (/usr/sbin/praudit) fail against a 4.3 GB log file with the following message:
praudit -l <4.3 GB audit filename> praudit: Can't assign <4.3 GB audit filename> to stdin
The utility runs successfully against an 800 MB and other smaller files.
Increasing swap does not resolve problem.
