Goal

The recycle process reclaims tape space taken up by expired data in the library.

In many cases the recycle process is not fully understood and as a result not implemented.  Eventually this can lead to having too many tapes that become 100% full of expired and active data.

The recycle process should be part of the implementation of SAM-FS.
