Symptoms

The pkgadd command on Solaris systems might sometimes fail to install packages (especially several Third-Party-Packages like CiscoWorks or Checkpoint).

Error messages like:

 mkdir: Failed to make directory "(DirectoryName)"; Permission denied

"access denied" or other permission related error messages are seen and package installation fails.
