Symptoms

The release notes and WWWW matrix for Sun StorEdge[TM] 3310 SCSI Array (SE3310) indicate the support for onboard SCSI port of the Sun Enterprise[TM] 3x00/4x00/5x00/6x00 servers to be used to connect SE3310 raid array and JBOD.

When doing this without considering that the onboard SCSI port of Sun Enterprise 3x00/4x00/5x00/6x00 servers is Single-Ended Fast/Wide SCSI and the SE3310 is a Ultra160 SCSI LVD array, connecting them using the default cable ie 530-2454 which is a HD68 to VHDCI cable, will result in the following errors:
