Goal

This is a brief reference to help you convert a slow print filter to a fast filter, which basically changes when the file gets filtered (converted from one file type to another).

Using a slow filter (the default), the file gets filtered as it enters the queue

With a fast filter, the file will be filtered as it leaves the queue.

It might be beneficial to use fast filtering on print servers handling very heavy volume. This will take some overhead off the primary print daemon.
