Error message: "Unsupported LUN Addressing method" in Solaris[TM] messages file

Symptoms
A Fibre Connected Third party disk array had been working fine. One day the host server, running Solaris[TM] Operating System(OS), unexpectedly lost connection to the disk array. In the /var/adm/messages file, was the following:
