Last updated on MAY 10, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Solaris on SPARC (64-bit)
Oracle Solaris on SPARC (32-bit)
Oracle Solaris on x86-64 (64-bit)
Oracle Solaris on x86 (32-bit)

Symptoms

Solaris Cluster composed of two nodes, NODE1 and NODE2.

NODE1 root filesystems were recovered from backup and local database replicas were not restored correctly. Since then, the diskset/metaset could not be switched over from NODE2 to NODE1.

The informaiton of 'metaset' command is not consistent across nodes.

As a consequence, diskset can be owned by NODE2, but NODE1 is unable to take ownership.
