Sun Cluster 3.0/3.1 and Veritas Volume Manager vxconfigd core dumps during Cluster Join (Doc ID 1009849.1)

Symptoms

During a node join for a node with CVM and RAC (real application clusters) it may happen that step 4 of the reconfiguration will time out (error 205) and then the vxconfigd process will core dump on both nodes.
