Symptoms

SMC issues message SMC0109 during initialization.
Receiving SMC0109 message during SMC startup.

SMC0109 The SMC subsystem is running in key 8; results are unpredictable; reply 'Y' to continue or 'N' to terminate

This may occur after a brand new install or after an upgrade.
