Oracle Secure Global Desktop - Version 4.2 to 5.4 [Release 4.0 to 5.0]Information in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
In the default configuration of Secure Global Desktop (SGD), the tarantella archive command is automated to run on a weekly basis, and designed to maintain history over the seven most recent executions. Records are maintained in a FIFO-like queue, and organized by numbered subdirectories under the <INSTALL_DIR>/var/log directory.
Depending on usage, this default value may be too small, or simply too large. Under normal operation, this may collect up to 7 weeks of runtime logs--in a high volume environment, this may represent a significant amount of disk space.
Fortunately, the default configuration is relatively straightforward to change.
