Solaris Cluster 3.x, vxfs global mount hangs due to inode table overflow (Doc ID 1332718.1)

Symptoms

When Solaris Cluster 3.x vxfs filesystem mounted globally and the application that uses that filesystem is doing large number
of small writes it is possible that vxfs will run out of inodes and may hang the application and possibly the Solaris kernel.

You may see the following error in /var/adm/messages:
