Goal

Before using smpatch or updatemanager on a Solaris system, the system has to be registered with sconadm.
This HowTo will explain the current process how to do that for newly installed Solaris systems, on Oracle HW and on Non-Oracle HW, on Virtual Machines or howto re-register a previously registered system to have all entitlements set correctly.

Previously a Serialnumber was needed to do that.
Now the Serialnumber is not needed anymore.
