Symptoms

Fan failure messages may be seen and present on a single blade in the blade chassis housing.
In the following example, we show errors on the blade in slot 1. Other blades in the chassis operate normally.

Checking the ILOM logs we see that messages indicating fan faults are logged:
 /SYS/FM0
   Properties:
       type = Rear Fan
       fault_state = Faulted    <================================= Faulted
       clear_fault_action = (none)

 /SYS/FM1

   Properties:
       type = Rear Fan
       fault_state = Faulted   <================================= Faulted
       clear_fault_action = (none)

 
 /SYS/FM2
   Properties:
       type = Rear Fan
       fault_state = OK   <================================= OK
       clear_fault_action = (none)
 
 /SYS/FM3
   Properties:
       type = Rear Fan
       fault_state = Faulted   <================================= Faulted
       clear_fault_action = (none)
 
 /SYS/FM4
   Properties:
       type = Rear Fan
       fault_state = Faulted   <================================= Faulted
       clear_fault_action = (none)
 
 /SYS/FM5
   Properties:
       type = Rear Fan
       fault_state = Faulted   <================================= Faulted
       clear_fault_action = (none)
 
Other blades will show the fan as working and OK.
