Last updated on NOVEMBER 01, 2023

Applies to:

Solstice DiskSuite Software - Version 4.2 and later
Sun Solaris Volume Manager (SVM) - Version 11.9.0 and later
Oracle Solaris on SPARC (64-bit)
Oracle Solaris on SPARC (32-bit)
Oracle Solaris on x86-64 (64-bit)
Oracle Solaris on x86 (32-bit)

Symptoms

Solaris Volume Manger (SVM) local filesystems may not mount at boot when SVM state database replicas (metadb) are placed on iscsi LUNs or other fabric attached LUNs.

At boot, md devices are not available and as a result, fs-local moves into maintenance as mountall fails
