Applies to:
Solaris Operating System - Version 10 3/05 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
There is a new command line option, '-m' for lucreate(1M) command of Live Upgrade (LU).
This option can be used during the UFS to ZFS BE migration to migrate the user created file system to ZFS database.
*The '-m' option is not valid if the source root file system is ZFS.*
This option is available with Live Upgrade patch 121430-66 or greater.
The release is S10U10 which included patch 121430-66.
*The '-D' option was also introduced in patches 121430-65 (SPARC) and 121431-66 (x86) which now provides functionality to move /var to it's own dataset.
