(Doc ID 1423937.1)
Last updated on SEPTEMBER 01, 2016
Applies to:Solaris Cluster - Version 3.2U3 12/09 to OSC 4.3 [Release 3.2 to 4.3]
Oracle Solaris on SPARC (64-bit)
Oracle Solaris on SPARC (32-bit)
The Logical Domain migration can time out when switching a SUNW.ldom resource (Solaris Cluster Data Service for Oracle VM Server for SPARC) from one node to another when its 'Migration_type' property is set to 'MIGRATE'. When this happens the following is reported in the system logs.
Feb 14 10:45:56 node-01 SC[SUNWscxvm.stop]:ldom-rg:ldom-rs: [ID 968469 daemon.notice] Domain ha_ldom is being migrated to node-02.
Feb 14 10:47:11 node-01 SC[SUNWscxvm.stop]:ldom-rg:ldom-rs: [ID 376861 daemon.notice] Migration of domain ha_ldom timed out, the domain state is now shut off.
Feb 14 10:47:12 node-01 SC[SUNWscxvm.stop]:ldom-rg:ldom-rs: [ID 648118 daemon.notice] Migration of domain ha_ldom is cancelled, the domain state is now in active state.
The switch over of the resource group will succeed and the SUNW.ldom resource will finish in the Online state.
However the Logical Domain migration fails and the Logical Domain is moved to the other node by stopping it and restarting it as opposed to the expected warm/live migration method.
