Symptoms

A satadm backup fails with the following error:

# /opt/SUNWxvmoc/bin/satadm backup
satadm: *** PreBackup Phase
satadm: *** Backup Phase
satadm: ERROR: --- 199_osimage.d: Failed backup (will not continue later steps)
satadm: *** PostBackup Phase
satadm: ERROR: *** Errors during backup -- no output written
