Goal
The goal of this document is to describe the steps and details on how to create a shared filesystem and allow QFS clients to mount it as a 'reader' only. Mounting a QFS file system as reader only causes the QFS client to read the metadata directly from disk. In contrast to a standard shared QFS file system where the metadata is passed over the network to the client.
With the above in mind the client needs physical access to the device the metadata lives on (mm or md devices).
Both types of file systems, 'ma' with mm devices and 'ms' with md devices work.
Clients can mount the file system with the reader option even if the file system isn't mounted on the metadata server.
