Goal
The Oracle Database Appliance (ODA ) provides two stacks
- OAK stack - which uses the ODA Appliance Kit and oakcli for administration
- DCS stack - which uses ODACLI and ODAADMCLI for administration
This note describes the use of the Oracle Database Configurator which is used for
- Pre 18.3 hardware deployments using oakcli administration
- ODA Virtualized Platform
Advantages of using the Offline ODA configuration include:
- The configurator can be executed on the ODA appliance during the deployment.
- An offline configurator can be used ahead of time to pre-populate names, network and other appliance information.
- The same configurator can be used to test network configuration set-up before, during or after the ODA deployment.
