How To Start And Stop OBIEE and TimesTen On Oracle Exalytics Server (Doc ID 1467749.1)

Purpose

This document explains how to start and stop product components on an Oracle Exalytics server via the command-line. This document supplements the information in the Oracle Fusion Middleware Installation and Administration Guide for Oracle Exalytics In-Memory Machine, Chapter 4.3 Starting and Stopping Components on the Exalytics Machine. This note describes one way of starting and stopping Exalytics components but is not all-inclusive and the same results can be achieved in different ways.

Scope

This note assumes that Exalytics components are installed and configured as described in the Oracle Fusion Middleware Installation and Administration Guide for Oracle Exalytics In-Memory Machine 11g  Release 1 (11.1.1), Chapter 3 Installing Software on the Exalytics Machine . This note further assumes that the you have installed OBIEE and TimesTen and that the home directories were named as described in the Install guide (i.e., MW_HOME=/u01/app/oracle/product/fmw and TT_HOME=/u01/app/oracle/product/TimesTen).

NOTE: In Oracle Exalytics X2-4 Release 1 (1.0.0.0), home directories for OBIEE and TimesTen were named as MW_HOME=/home/oracle/EXALYTICS_MWHOME and TT_HOME=/home/oracle/TimesTen. If you are running Oracle Exalytics X2-4 Release 1 please set MW_HOME and TT_HOME accordingly.
