Purpose

This document describes the steps to identify the system Serial Number (SN) on an Oracle Exalytics server.  The document also includes steps to identify serial numbers (SNs) for Oracle Exalytics component parts (motherboard, disk controller, inifiniband, etc.).  Serial numbers may be requested by Oracle Support if you report an issue with an Oracle Exalytics server.
