Symptoms
A application compiled with the gnu compiler crashes on
- Solaris 10 on SPARC with patch 144500-19 installed, but not 147440-16 or higher
- Solaris 10 on x86-64 with patch 144501-19 installed, but not 147441-16 or higher
- Solaris 11 without SRU 6.6
A "referenced symbol not found" runtime linker error is observed. Examples:
libstdc++.so.6: symbol _ZNSt11char_traitsIcE2eqERKcS2_: referenced symbol not found
fatal: relocation error: file a.out: symbol _ZNSi6ignoreEv: referenced symbol not found
