Goal

This document will show you the steps to create a custom Solaris 10 media (DVD) with patched miniroot.
This procedure is required in case a flash archive used for installation includes features which the standard miniroot shipped with the official installation media is not capable of.

Goal
Solution
 1. Copy image to a disk
 2. Patch the image copied on disk with KU patch and its dependent patches.
 3. Create ISO image file from the patched image. Use mkisofs command to create the image for burning
 4. Burn the ISO image on a media
 5. Insert the DVD into the system. Boot from DVD image to do the flash installation
