By default, virtual-IP addresses (vip) configured as LogicalHosts in Oracle Solaris Cluster are configured using default netmasks which may not be sufficient for your configuration.

Goal

In Oracle Solaris Cluster 4.x the Virutal-IP (VIP) address of a logical host can have a wrong netmaks if not configured in /etc/inet/netmasks. Due to changes in Solaris 11 the setup of logical hostname in Oracle Solaris Cluster 4.x need to be configured in /etc/inet/netmasks. Therefore this document describe
