Installing older Solaris SRU 12.4 with a newer AI server fails to boot with zfs_parse_bootfs: error 48 (Doc ID 1523214.1)

Symptoms

In this example, the customer performed a fresh install of Solaris 11 SRU 12.4 with an AI Server on Solaris 11.  The installation completed without any issues, but on boot they saw this zfs error 48:

The customer is installing an older Solaris OS version on an existing AI server configuration

NOTE: This can also happen in Ops Center under certain conditions.
