Oracle Secure Global Desktop User Session Timeouts Allows Session-Resumable Applications to Persist Longer Than Expected (Doc ID 1531264.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 20, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Secure Global Desktop - Version 4.62 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

If the Oracle Secure Global Desktop Administrator has configured the User Session Idle Timeout parameter, then applications launched through SGD may continue to be resumable after the user's webtop session has been terminated due to extended inactivity, despite application-specific configurations as resumable within an active webtop session.

This behavior differs from a more common scenario, wherein users will find that application sessions configured as resumable within a user session will be closed when the user formally logs out of their SGD webtop.
