(Doc ID 1533510.1)
Last updated on JULY 20, 2023
Applies to:
Solaris Operating System - Version 10 11/06 U3 and laterOracle Solaris on x86-64 (64-bit)
Oracle Solaris on SPARC (64-bit)
Symptoms
Creating a zpool on a LUN or LUNs under SVM control can result in the zpool being imported using the underlying /dev/dsk device rather than the /dev/md/dsk device following a reboot or an export then subsequent import of the zpool.
Changes
1) A LUN is added to the system and used to create an SVM metadevice.
2) A zpool is created on the SVM metadevice.
3) The zpool is exported and then re-imported, or the system is rebooted.
