zpool may not import after upgrading from Solaris 10 Update 10 to Solaris 10 Update 11 (Doc ID 1563073.1)

Performing zpool import will result into:

ssct6d05:[root]$ zpool import -f rpool_nkocnlad1w
cannot import 'rpool_nkocnlad1w': invalid vdev configuration

Plain zpool import (discovery mode) will show:

pool: rpool_nkocnlad1w
id: 17587946522826855567
state: UNAVAIL
status: The pool was last accessed by another system.
action: The pool cannot be imported due to damaged devices or data.

config:

rpool_nkocnlad1w UNAVAIL insufficient replicas
c0t60060480000190102394533030343130d0s0 UNAVAIL corrupted data

Symptoms

 The issue is being tracked via Bug 16593168 - Unable to import zpools after applying kernel patch 147148-26

Changes

 Patch (and/or Patch Cluster) upgrade from Solaris 10 Update 10 (or below) to Solaris 10 Update 11 (and above) [ KU 14714[78]-26 or above ]
