Goal

This document provides the command to clear the internal logs in the array (aka Major Event Log or MEL). Usually you do not need to clear these logs, which are in a circular buffer (8,192 events in length) automatically managed by the array firmware. However, there might be special situations that require you to clear them. For example when you want to perform a firmware upgrade from 06.xx to 07.xx on arrays supporting this transition, you may encounter situations that require you to clear these logs before proceeding with the upgrade.
